Jacob Simonini

Owner, Cornerstone Health Centre

Jacob Simonini is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner whose professional journey reflects a deep commitment to clinical excellence, lifelong learning, and the foundational principles of
Osteopathy. His healthcare career began as an Advanced Care Paramedic, where he developed extensive experience across multiple areas of acute and emergency medicine. During this time, Jacob served as a clinical instructor and preceptor within the Advanced Care Paramedic program and participated in research alongside physicians focused on prehospital trauma care and cardiac arrest management.

Seeking a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the human body and its innate capacity for health, Jacob transitioned into the study of Osteopathy at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO). He later earned his Master of Osteopathic Manual Science (MOMSc) and has since dedicated his professional life to osteopathic clinical practice, education, and mentorship.

Jacob is a member in good standing of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (OAO) and actively upholds the highest standards of professional and ethical practice. He is the founder of the Toronto School of Osteopathy, established to share his passion, knowledge, and reverence for the roots, traditions, and principles of classical Osteopathy, ensuring these values are carried forward in future generations of practitioners.

Committed to ongoing professional growth, Jacob regularly spends time in the United States studying with senior osteopathic mentors, continuing to refine his palpatory skills, clinical reasoning, and philosophical understanding of Osteopathy. His approach to patient care is rooted in the osteopathic principle that treatment should seek to remove obstacles to health and support the body’s inherent self-healing mechanisms. Each treatment is individualized, guided by careful evaluation, skilled palpation, and respect for the patient’s unique structure and physiology.

Recognizing that the full potential of the human body can never be completely defined or mastered, Jacob approaches Osteopathy with humility, curiosity, and discipline. He remains
devoted to continual study and self-reflection, guided by the philosophy that true mastery lies in lifelong pursuit. As Marcus Aurelius aptly stated, “It takes courage to practice something that can never be mastered.”
